Recycled PET
Recycled PET is polyester made from post-consumer bottles rather than virgin feedstock. Mechanically it behaves like the standard woven band — same weave, same closures, same comfort — but the input has a paper trail, which is increasingly what a sustainability officer is actually asking for.

It performs the same, which is the point
There is a version of sustainable procurement where the responsible option is visibly worse and everyone quietly reverts after one season. This is not that. rPET yarn is chemically the same polymer as virgin PET; the difference is upstream. Tensile strength, dry time, colour fastness and comfort are indistinguishable in wear, so there is no operational reason to prefer the virgin material.
What you can actually claim
You can state the recycled content percentage of the band, because that is a property of the material we supply and it is documented. Be careful about anything broader. A band is not carbon-neutral because its yarn was recycled, and a resort is not sustainable because its wristbands are. Overclaiming here is the most common own goal in hospitality procurement, and it is the claim that gets challenged.
Colour range is narrower
Recycled feedstock carries residual colour, so very pale shades and clean whites require more processing and are not always achievable at the same price. Mid and deep tones are unaffected. If your brand colour is a pale neutral, ask for a physical sample before committing the run.

Runs in this material ship with a material declaration, batch and quantity reconciliation per carton, and an encoding record where a transponder is fitted.
